This Privacy Policy explains what information Remodelers Edge Academy collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can control it.
Remodelers Edge Academy is a brand operated by Exponential Ventures, LLC, a Maryland limited liability company. References to "we," "us," or "our" mean Exponential Ventures, LLC. References to "you" mean the visitor, account holder, or paying customer.
This policy is written for our customers, who are based in the United States. We do not currently market or sell to customers outside the US. If you are accessing this site from outside the US, please be aware that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
1. What we collect
We collect three categories of information:
Information you give us directly. When you create an account, enroll in a course, fill out a contact or enrollment form, or email us, you provide information such as your name, email address, company name, and any message content you send. When you purchase a course, you provide payment information through our processor, Stripe.
Information collected automatically when you use the site. When you log in to the academy, our learning platform (LearnWorlds) records information such as your login times, the courses and lessons you access, your progress through course content, your quiz and assessment scores, and basic device information (browser type, IP address, operating system). This is necessary to deliver the course experience.
Information from your interactions with optional features. If you join a Zoom session through the academy, Zoom collects standard call information (join time, duration, audio/video preferences) as part of running the session. If you reply to email from us or fill out our contact form, we receive whatever you send.
We do not collect: location data beyond general IP-based region, biometric data, browsing behavior outside our site, advertising identifiers, or social media data.
2. Why we collect it
We use your information to:
-Deliver the course you purchased and track your progress
-Process your payment and prevent fraud
-Respond to your questions and support requests -Send you transactional emails related to your account or purchase (receipts, password resets, course updates)
-Improve our courses and platform based on aggregate usage patterns
-Comply with legal obligations (tax records, dispute resolution)
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it to build profiles for marketing outside of our own communications with you.
3. Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate the academy. They receive only the information necessary to perform their function.
LearnWorlds (course delivery platform) — receives your account information and course activity. See learnworlds.com/privacy-policy.
Stripe (payment processing) — receives your name, billing address, and payment details when you make a purchase. We do not store your full payment card number on our systems. See stripe.com/privacy.
Zoom (live session delivery, when applicable) — receives your name and join information for any session you choose to attend. See zoom.us/privacy.
We do not share your information with any other third parties for marketing, advertising, analytics, or any purpose other than running the services above. We may disclose information if required by law (subpoena, court order, regulatory request) or to protect our rights, our customers' rights, or to investigate fraud or security issues.
4. How long we keep your information
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations. In general:
-Account and course progress data: kept while your account is active, plus up to seven years after closure for record-keeping purposes
-Payment and transaction records: kept for seven years to comply with US tax law
-Email correspondence: kept indefinitely unless you ask us to delete it You can request deletion of your information at any time (see Section 6).
5. How we protect your information
We rely on the security practices of LearnWorlds, Stripe, and Zoom, all of which use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. We use strong passwords, two-factor authentication where available, and limit administrator access to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure. If we ever experience a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and applicable authorities as required by law.

You can:

-Ask us to correct anything that's wrong
-Ask us to delete your account and personal information
-Ask us to stop sending you non-essential emails
-Ask us to give you a copy of your data in a portable format
-Object to specific uses of your information
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, the right to opt out of any sale of personal information (we do not sell information), and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. 7. Children
Remodelers Edge Academy is a B2B/B2C program for adult sales professionals. The academy is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
